Puppy Preschool
Raising a puppy can be quite a chore and often more work than expected. Bring your puppy to puppy preschool where you will learn how to:
- Housebreak your puppy
- Easy ways to begin grooming
- Begin teaching him to walk on leash
- Wait at the door
- Sit and come
- You will also learn how to reduce problem behaviors such as play biting, jumping up, inappropriate chewing, and food or toy possessiveness.
This one and a half hour course is recommended for puppies between the ages of 8-12 weeks.
Obedience Training and Behavioral Problem Solving
Group Lessons
If you’re looking for a way to take the lead in your dog’s behavior, our training program can help. Group lessons at our Downtown Columbus location give you an opportunity to work with your dog in a variety of situations that include real world distractions. Group classes will be kept small, no more than 6 dogs, to ensure you and your dog get the attention you deserve.
Carolyn specializes in giving your family the knowledge and skills that will help you address all those unpleasant issues such as jumping up, barking, pulling on leash, charging through doors, and chewing. Teaching our dogs to understand what we want and to listen when we tell them to will help ensure they live a safe and happy life.

Private Lessons in Your Home
By providing safe and convenient one-on-one training in your home, Carolyn is able to tailor her course to suit your dog’s needs, temperament and living environment while accommodating your busy lifestyle. She is skilled at solving behavioral problems of all kinds.
Private lessons are excellent for solving issues with housetraining ("accidents", house-soiling,and marking), destruction (chewing and digging), separation anxiety, food-bowl or other possession guarding, and barking, as well as other issues.
Private lessons are also great for the generally well-behaved dog who needs a little fine-tuning in one or more specific areas, such as pulling on the leash, jumping up (greeting people), coming when called and more.
Private lessons are also perfect for pups who are too young to meet with other puppies or dogs. You may schedule one lesson or a full course which is four lessons.
Private lessons available: Monday – Friday until 3 p.m. or any time on Saturdays and Sundays.
My goal is that you be able to give a command one time without begging or yelling or pulling out a treat. I want a dog to respond the first time they are asked and move on with enjoying life. My basic philosophy is when your dog does what you want, he will get what he wants.
Remote Training Collars
Considering a remote training collar?
Carolyn is an E-Touch certified graduate from The International School for Dog Trainers, and can provide private lessons using remote collars.
You will learn the many ways these diverse tools can help with problem solving as well as obedience training. Most clients have their dogs off leash in four sessions.
If you are considering an underground fencing system, Carolyn can assess your needs and advise you on equipment and use.
